Evil stuff... - news
It has come to my attention (again) that there are some Christian Paintball Players that choose not to join the CPPA because they believe that we boycott or don't use certain products.

This is simply not the case:
CPPA members are free to use whatever paintball products they like and are comfortable using. We do NOT condemn or disuade CPPA members from using any product.

There are many CPPA -teams, and Christian teams that are CPPA members that use these products.

The exception, and this is the ONLY exception is for national board members and State Charter members and their officially sponsored teams. Those people are the only ones that we request that they refrain from using certain products. ANd they personally agree to this before becomming board and team members as appropriate. This has nothing to do with the CPPA membership at large.

CPPA site and forum - news
With the announcement and subsequent opening of the new CPPA website, there has been some confusion regarding Membership ID's and forum ID's.

The forum here is a completely different one from the old site. that means that you need to register a username for this forum, since the old forum still exists. Mike at paintmagazine.com was gracious enough to host the forums for us. Though the CPPA forums on His site are locked, the forums remain active for the other users there, and the CPPA board continue to support the efforts of paintmagazine.com as a supporter of the CPPA.

What that means is again, that even if you had a login id for the paintmagazine forums, you need to reregister for the new CPPA forums.

And finaly - being a member of the CPPA is not teh same as the user ID for the forums. these are two different things.

So, hopefully to clear some things up a bit, here is a list of seperate ID's that you may need to be aware of:
* paintmagazine.com forums user ID
* CPPA website forums (community) user ID (may be the same as the paintmagazine forums, and preferred that you do keep it the same to avoid further confusion)
* user ID to access the CPPA membership roster. this is not secret - and is found by clicking this link
* CPPA membership number. this number should be a unique number for your membership in the CPPA.

I hope this helps in clarifying the changes.

Thanks!
RP
